Rush Teams Find Success at CSA Cup!
Ovet the weekend of October 5-6, Rush Pikes Peak had several teams compete in the CSA Cup in Denver. The U9 Boys team coached by Joel Bolduc and Chris Meyers won their division! In the four preliminary games, the team won by a combined score of 17-2 with nine of the eleven kids on the team scoring a goal. In the championship game, they played a team from Westminster. Aidan Bolduc scored a goal for the Rush team and after a 1-1 tie following regulation, the game went to kicks from the penalty mark. Braiden Meyers made the last kick to win the shootout 2-1, win the game 2-1 and win the tournament! The parents cheered loudly and the kids stormed the field!
Also competing were the U8 Blue Thunder, coached by Dax Kurbegov and Tammy Schneider. The girls started the weekend off by tying a top team from Real 0-0, and they never looked back! They went undefeated for the rest of the weekend, outscoring their opponents 14-3. Overall, it was a great weekend for all the teams that competed. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for their great work!
