Rush Pikes Peak Announces Staff ChangesRush Pikes Peak is excited to announce some changes in the staff structure that will allow more focus to more teams throughout the club. Nik Penn, who has been Technical Director of Rush Pikes Peak since 2005, has stepped down to become Director of Junior Girls in order to take on duties with the Rush Headquarters SPI (Soccer Partners International) as the Coaching Education Coordinator. Nik is excited to take this step up to influence both the teams at Pikes Peak as well as the 40,000 Rush members worldwide.
Paul Davison will take on the duties of leading the staff and the club as Director of Coaching while retaining his Director of Youth Boys position. Dan Highstead has moved from Director of Youth Girls to take on the Director of Junior Boys, with Brian Lux moving from Junior Girls to put his mark on the Youth Girls Division. The Youth Divisions will now put more focus on the younger players and with the success of the Boys U10 Select Program this past season, Brian and Paul will implement the Select program at both the U9 and U10 Boys and Girls age groups.
We are also excited to announce Tomas Martinez as an additional staff member who will be responsible for the Senior teams and staff training. Tomas is currently the head coach for the boy's and girl's soccer programs at Cheyenne Mountain High School and his daughter Madison plays for our U12 Nike team. With the growth of the club in terms of members and teams, we are proud to keep the focus on player education by growing the staff to compliment the increase.
