U13 Nike Boys Earn Promotion
The Rush Pikes Peak U13 Boys Nike team coached by Nik Penn secured promotion to Premier 2 with a win over Colorado Rush on 5/22/12. The season ended with a record of 14-2-2 scoring an incredible 60 goals and conceding only 19 including 9 shut outs. The season went down to the wire with the boys needing a victory on the last game of the season to gain promotion which they did emphatically with a 6-0 win scored by 6 different scorers. The feat is made even more impressive by the fact that the team had no regular goalkeeper, with Aiden Detlof stepping up at the beginning of the season to assume the role with no prior experience.Congratulation boys for your hard work and commitment over the last 9 months and good luck in P2 next year!
