U10 Girls Cheetahs Battle Opponents, Elements To Win Sunbelt Classic

The U10 Girls Rush Pikes Peak Cheetahs coached by Scott Johnson won their first three games in the Pueblo Sunbelt Classic Tournament before blizzard conditions ended the games Sunday late in the morning. On Saturday, the team defeated the tournament host Pueblo Rangers U10, 6-1. They followed this up with a shutout win on Sunday over another Pueblo Rangers team, 8-0. A match-up with Colorado Storm, which took place in heavy snow and wind, went the Cheetahs way in a 7-1 victory. Immediately after the game, tournament officials deemed the conditions too dangerous to continue. The Cheetahs finished first in the group for their first-ever tournament championship!

Players for the tournament were: Brianna Allard, Ariana Betoni, Kaylie Bierman, Brooke Heinicke, Caroline Johnson, Reilly Kearns, Brooke Moss, Breanne Raley, Zoe Vaughan. Guest players from Rush Pikes Peak Alley Cats were: Lucy Hart, Jadyn LeDoux, and Allie Martinez. Congratulation to all of the girls for their great work this past weekend!
